I was hired by a client to make a drop leaf desk that can be extended to an 8-person dining room table.  Two legs can be unlocked and swung out to allow the triangular side leaves support when extended. The bottom of the legs are veneered in Gabon Ebony to match the black casters.  


 This piece is made of Curly Maple and Gabon Ebony with a Polyx - Oil finish.

  Designed to fit in with a classic car showroom this standing desk was made for daily use. The lower of the two tops can flip up exposing a large storage space. The upper top can sit flat for use as a desktop or be held up to an adjustable leg brace to expose the Legendary Motors LLC. logo.

 This table is designed to fit into a nook of a newly renovated kitchen. The bench legs are made to match the existing built in seating, while the bench top is the same Walnut lumber as the table. The T style metal legs on the table are chosen to allow for plenty of leg space for added guests. With a protective finish this piece gets family use on a daily basis.

This piece is designed to store and display the owners jewelry collection. The cabinet has 5 drawers, 2 removable glass shelves, and a curved front. For display it has built in wireless lighting. The modernized Ruhlmann Legs each are made of 8 different pieces, cut and tapered to form the shape.

Shaker Inspired Desks


Made with Shaker influence these desks are designed for efficient use on a daily basis. Desks can be made of any local lumber, size,  and finish desired by the future owner. The pieces are held together with traditional mortise and tenon, dovetail,  and sliding dovetail joints. All drawers are made with solid hardwood visibly showing dovetail joints when open.

 Stools

 

 Influenced by the work of Wharton Esherick, these stools are hand made to a comfortable and visually pleasing design.  

 

This piece is made of Walnut, and Ash  with a Tung oil finish.








 Chippendale Side Chairs


A pair of Chippendale side chairs with Philadelphia style Ball and Claw feet. Rear Splats are carved to represent "owl back" design. The traditional Shellac finish brings out heavy grain throughout the chairs.


This piece is made of Black Walnut with a Garnett Shellac finish.






 Music Stand


This piece is inspired by the work of Wendell Castle. The legs and main shaft were steamed and clamped to custom forms in order to shape the design. The top was hand planed to obtain a slight curve and changing thickness.


This piece is made of Quarter Sawn White Oak with a Blonde Shellac finish.







Chess Table


Standing on Queen Anne Cabriole legs the chess board can be removed to expose storage spaces designed to fit game pieces. The top can also be turned from the game table to a book matched Cherry top. This piece can be made to order with options for multiple wood selections and game boards.


This piece is made of Cherry, Walnut, and Soft Maple with a Blonde Shellac finish.




 Art Display & Storage Cabinet


Inspired by a 19th century map chest, this piece is designed to store and display a client's art collection. The top is able to be set at multiple angles for display. The handles found in a historic home in Salem Massachusetts  were made in 1874, and were sent out for restoration. The frame is held together with sliding dovetails and mortise and tenon joints. Each drawer bears 12 hand cut dovetails.

This piece is made of Cherry and Poplar with a Garnett Shellac finish.



Tool Cabinet


A traditional style tool cabinet designed to fit in a confined sized work area. Dark matching grain is visaible throughout the exterior boards and the drawer fronts. With all wood construction this cabinet is held together with sturdy full and half blind dovetails. The retractable, Ebony lined drawer front is lockable.


This piece is made of Walnut, Soft Maple, and Ebony with a Blonde Shellac finish.




Shaker Inspired Wall Shelf



This Shaker inspired shelf has a classic Shaker image with an added carving inset on both sides. The exposed sliding dovetails hold each shelf securely in place, being structural and visibly pleasing. Wether used as decor for a room or everyday use this shelf is appropriate for many settings.

Liquor Cabinet


This piece was made to match the rooms existing furniture. The two swinging doors slightly overhang the base and feature shelves to hold wine glasses. The interior shelves are adjustable to allow for any bottle sizes. Built to support constant weight the cabinet is held together with a series of traditional, strong wood joints.


This piece is made of Soft Maple and Ash .
